Institute for Research and Community Empowerment 

Cenure (Center of Nutrition Research) was founded on 23 April 2012 with the support of Diponegoro University Institute for Research and Community Services (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat/LPPM in Bahasa Indonesia). This research center aims to improve nutrition research for Indonesian people. This research center is under the administration of The Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, but the research itself is a multidisciplinary project that works with researchers from different fields.

Our vision is to support our world-class university by doing nutrition research that can be applied to real problems and help develop personalized nutrition solutions. Our mission is to do research on food, nutrition, and life-cycle that affects many people and can help them improve their nutrition and lifestyle.

Cenure has done research and publications that cover all aspects of nutrition and food sciences, from basic research, which is the study of the fundamental aspects of nutrition and food, to translational research, which is the application of basic research to solve real problems, within the clinical settings, such as hospitals and clinics, and community settings, such as schools and workplaces. This gives Cenure a unique (i.e. multidisciplinary) health sciences profile that matches well with Diponegoro University and Faculty of Medicine. The Department of Nutrition Science has a vision to advance the knowledge, research, and publication of molecular nutrition, which is the study of how nutrients affect the body at the molecular level. It is leading this research center to achieve this vision and to collaborate with other disciplines in nutrition and food sciences.
